People say that big things comes in small packages...
...and I think, that this picture has nothing to do with it. *grins*
So it was a long weekend. What most people I know would do on a long weekend is rather stay home and rest or go out of town with their family. As for me, I went diving with old friends and strangers who now I consider new friends (diving is the best sport I know where you'll meet different people). It was also my first time to dive with my good friend, Anskoy.
We left Manila early Sunday. Got to Maricaban Island by 10ish.

The group was busy gearing up, while Vlad's busy getting high... hehe

Briefing session...

We had 2 dives on our first day. First dive was... uhmm.. challenging, right An? :) We were pretty disappointed with the current, we weren't expecting any, because the last time we dove at Maricaban, it was at peace and it was beautiful. Second dive was worse. The current was wild and it has no definite direction. Most of us got bruises from the rocks and corals we were holding on to. I got these:

The next day, we expected better dives... and this time we weren't disappointed. Nonie's Point and Emperor's Reef was a beauty. Some were able to see stingrays, some were able to spot a hawksbill. I wasn't able to see what they saw (did I mention that I'm near sighted?) but I was plain happy that I'm breathing underwater. Am I an addict to diving? You don't say...
I spoke too soon. I went out around 10pm to meet up with my childhood friend, Beej. It's been 15 years (I think) since the last time I had a real conversation with this guy. We went to McDonald's to grab some food first. When I was about to order my favorite royal strawberry, the cashier said it's not in the menu anymore!!! Huwaaat??! Pano na lang ang lonely starving nights ko with french fries and lotsa ketchup??! I'm stuck with sarsi! Geez, fart all over! Not good.
After McDonald's we went to explore Marikina River Banks. It was my first time. It wasn't that bad at all. We went to this bar, and as usual, I'm drinking iced tea. Pfft! I'm tired of drinking iced tea. I miss going home tipsy, ready for bed. I'm on my 7th week of sobriety. One and a half more weeks to go!
Anyway, I forgot what I'm suppose to say here so I'll just sleep. Goodnight world.

People of the Pilipins! Let's support this local indie film! I've been waiting for this movie to regulary show in theaters since I missed watching it during their special film chever at U.P. Visit their official website.
Checked my wallet today... good thing I have no plans on going out today 'cause I'm near zero balance! And to make this day worse, I am so mahat-burat-bugandi! If boredom can kill, I'm probably dead by now.
Michelle went home today to fix some stuff before the week ends (she's been staying here in my place since she got back from Japan). Ram's busy with a pitch project. Lele's busy with her drafting deadline. The boys are most likely busy too.
Today is the perfect day to ponder because these past few days has been something else... A big blurry kinda-something-else.
Boring din kaya sa bahay ni Kuya? Wehehehe... nuninuinu...
This made my day. From Carlo's phlog. Panalo!
High: A day of rest.
Low: Missed buying a Christmas tree again.
Back to my story about our roadtrip to La Luz Resort...
As usual, it was an impromptu thing. I got an sms invite Tuesday morning asking if I'd like to shoot and dive at Laiya, Batangas. Next thing I know, I was packing and driving to Laiya, Batangas with Michelle.

We kayaked, sunbathe, eat, sleep, sunbathe, eat, sleep, picture picture. I was able to convince Ram and Mich to try diving... I think they liked it. :)

Thursday morning on our way back to Manila, Mich confirmed a hosting stint at Subic for Friday night, and I got a wedding shoot on a Saturday at Subic Yatch Club... You guessed it right, we went there after we re-packed our bags and headed North. Talk about cross roadtrips... Got back in Manila Sunday morning, just in time for the Lumiere Art Xchange.
Never never use the word shoot and dive at the same time!

I still envy you dude!

High: Sun kissed tan! Woot woot!
Low: That moron from my previous post.
Still waiting in vain for that long awaited trip.
Meanwhile...

11-09 was Jag's night...

Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) had a special function and presscon for Jag (I can't believe he's getting used to all the cameras and the interviews) at Manila Peninsula last Wednesday. It was a very touchy moment when Jag had his thank you speech, I knew he'd cry after thanking our parents for the support. Pareho kme, we don't tell how we feel, and how grateful we are to our parents kaya moments like this makes us burst into tears (pero montik lang ako). :) That ring he's wearing was the highest form of recognition according to PPSA.
11-10 was Michelle's 1st ever reggae night @ Xaymaca...

She was actually asking me if we can go back to Xaymaca this coming Thursday... We'll see if the guards doesn't recognize us... hehehe jk... Mare, it was nice seeing you again. :)
11-13 was Jaggy's 7th birthday @ Discovery Suites...

It was fun to really dress up for a theme party especially if you get to win a dinner for 2 at Discovery Suites. Wheee!!!
But I think this guy deserves to win the 1st prize...

Charles @ his best! Bwahahaha!

Baguio wedding went really smooth. It was interesting. My friends, who were with me to assist (arigato!), said that if ever they get married, they would like a reverse wedding event, a-not-so-cliche wedding.
Sabi pa ni Ram, the wedding reception was like of the Hamptons. I don't know what he meant by that, but I think I was able to picture what he was trying to say. Oh and the food was good too... I had a hard time (konti lang) making the couple pose though, they were a bit shy and reserved, but we were able to manage the situation. ;)
So, there goes our long weekend work, or should I say roadtrip vacation?!
Ver! Thanks for the bangus treat at Dagupeņa!

A Jag in the making? Maybe.

I'm all packed for my Baguio wedding shoot. I'm actually pretty excited because the couple has a totally different sequencing on their day. They're having their reception at 1:30 pm and their church ceremony at 6:30 pm on the same day. I just hope things will go smoothly.
If you haven't heard of these new band impersonating BSB, ya gotta see this (download the whole thing first before playing.)
Enjoy!
