Beer Deco

My entry from last night's Super Dry contest at Mati, Rockwell. Theme: Art Deco. Daw. Didn't win, but I'm happy. It was a good exercise. :)

I think there'll be an exhibit for all the participants on July 29 dunno where yet though.

Onli in the Philippines

I've been wanting to shoot street photos for weeks, and yesterday was the best time. We were at Hidalgo for a quick shopping (quick shopping meaning films & batteries). Thanks to Jong for lending his olympus cam, I was able to shoot discreetly from people while they're doing their activities. I miss shooting these kind of stuff.

Pick a card

Ram asked me if I can make him a design for his calling card. I ended up shooting his fave charm.

So which do you think is better? Comments, suggestions?

My preciouuuus...

Do I need to say more? :)

I was in a cleaning mood today. After months of moving in, I finally get to clean and fix my vault. These are my seldomly used cameras. It's very few compared to the other camera freaks I know :p. I would cry hard if I get to lose any of these. This vault will be my friend, my bestfriend. ;) I'm not sure if the silica gel's enough to keep the lens from having fungus though.

I got to purge my closet as well. I get to fit some old clothes... I now realize how baduy I was! hahaha... Must... get rid of 'em... fast!

~~~~
I watched Madagascar for the third time tonight. First was with my guy friends. Second was with my girl friends. And third, and I hope the last, was with my pamangkins. I can't believe they still haven't seen the movie, to think it's been showing for 2 weeks now. Hmmm... their parents too busy eh? Yeah right!
~~~~

Oh yeah, btw, I got out of the pit hole from my first (minor) car accident and my first lawsuit (I hope it's the last).

I'm in a better mood now. God listens. :)

Have a good long weekend everyone.

Eelo eelo

You know how we all get excited with new places and meeting new people right?!

The first time I went to Iloilo was last January. It was for a wedding shoot and it was terrible. I mean, not with the couple, but with our harassed schedules. Para lang akong nagising sa Iloilo, tapos natulog ulit, pag mulat nasa Manila na. All I saw was the airport, the church, and the hotel.

Same thing happened yesterday, but this time I was more like dilat most of the time. I wasn't able to sleep well after the shoot. A good reminder to sleep ahead of the guys, or else suffer from the sound of the snores! After breakfast, I tried to sleep again, only to realize that our floor was being renovated. Ah yes, loving the sound of the drills and hammers! Aaaargh!

Jong's staying there for 3 more days with his family. I decided to go home. So I said to myself "ok, I'll probably sleep in the plane"... but NO! Rene (video guy) and I had a terrible plane ride going back home. It was my first time to actually feel queasy in a plane. The weather wasn't good (I heard there's a 17 typhoon coming, how true?!) and we were seated right next to the jet engine! Even my iPod couldn't compete with the sound. :(

Looking at this makes me want to go back and explore the city. I am so loving Ilonggos. They're all kind... or atleast they sound malambing. hehe

Bao gida ya! :)

Why men are happier people

Got this from friendster's bulletin board:

Men are just happier people - what do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to go to another restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
Your shoes don't cut, blister or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on
December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier!

~~~~
But I think gay men are the happiest... they have an option. hehehe ;)
Bumps
Funny how things are with me right now. It seems that everything's well planned, one after another. Just when I was about to breathe from a situation, another one comes in a rush.
Some stuff I cannot discuss publicly but would love to rant about it. God knows if your clan's reading this. May His light shine upon your family.
Pathetic as it all seems, I believe there's a lesson to be learned here.
