Early beating
I got a call from my friend Ram (the stylist) at 5 am this morning. He was asking for media help because he and his friend got mistaken for someone else and was beaten up by (more or less) 15 guys. If you were watching The Buzz earlier today, you probably know who I was talking about (I wasn't able to watch it though, I was working).
The guy who punched Ram (for trying to stop him) now denies that he was involved in the scene... Duh! !@#$%^
The price of being popular and being an A-hole, all at the same time.

Speed dial
I just noticed tonight, while driving home, how useful speed dial features are, especially when you're in a hurry to call someone or driving (I use headset alright). :)

I just noticed, my #7 was ever changing (no, I don't call my dad as often as I call my mama) depending on who's on my "hot/in" list. ;) I mean, it depends on who's new to my circle of friends that I call every so often. (yeah yeah could be my potential fish, as dude would call it).
I just noticed, there's no speed dial allotment for the number "0". Baduy.

Next door session
It's been awhile since the last time I used my studio lights (reason behind it is because I'm no expert on it). Last week, I got a call from Tita Vicky (sessionroad's manager) asking if I can shoot the band for their folio. Without second thought, I said yes.
The shoot was fun as always.
Kudos to Madge, Aaron, & Ram for the make-up, hair and styling.

Cebu - B?
Got home from Cebu last night. I've been there four times since God-knows-when and ever since I feel odd being in that city. It seems that the last time I actually enjoyed staying there was the World Shoot XII (1999). Not mainly because of the city itself but because of the people I was with and the guests from different countries sharing the same passion with guns.
I'm probably hanging with the wrong crowd... OR maybe, in my past life, I had a bad experience in that city... OR maybe, I'm still having one in my present life!
WHATEVER.
Oh and Plantation Bay was the best (insert exaggerated face here) especially when their man-made pool is scheduled for a clean up on the day you planned to swim! And did I mention, it rained the whole day??!
Obviously, I'm ranting again.
Mood changing now...
Lemme reminisce that day before going to Cebu...
The day before I went to Cebu, I went to Laiya, Batangas for my first beach wedding. The travel was so long and boring, but it was so worth it when we got there.
The place is so serene. Imagine shooting/attending a wedding IN A BEACH with 90 GUESTS. Plus Adrian and Ria was the best! I would have accepted their offer to stay overnight if only I didn't have a wedding in Cebu. Work harder nga e.
Tomorrow, I'm off to Boracay for another shoot with Jong. I'll be optimistic and hope that the wedding will be as nice as the Duque's. :)

First

I spent 1/4 (!!!) of my day today with my lola mommy inside Medical City's ER (slow service, must be the holiday season). She ended up getting confined, nothing serious (I hope).
While we were waiting inside the ER, I heard a male patient having a conversation with an old lady. They were talking about age. The lady said something about how old her brother is (86 years old) and how stubborn he could get at times. The man responded that if he reach 80, he'd be happy and contented.
I remember telling a friend that if I reach 50, I'd be happy. I still feel that way. I hope I've live my life well by then.
Btw, my lola's 88 now.
Then I heard them talk about the tragedy in Thailand. The guy said that they were lucky to be poor. Just imagine, if they have the money to travel and spend their holidays there, it could have been them.
I agree with him. Thank God for my bills.
Spending my first day of 2005 inside the ER wasn't that bad after all.
