Last Saturday, I finally plunged into the tech world... I got myself this.

No, I'm not a darksider.

Somebody once texted me:
"Never let go of a dream until you are ready to wake up and make it happen. So kung tipong matindi ang pangarap mo, TULOG KA ULIT!"
I hope I'm close to waking up!
I haven't blogged about friendster yet, right?
Well here I am blogging about it, all because I saw Ryan Agoncillo's profile and I can't help but rave about it. tee hee...
He has been my long time crush. I like him even though he says that he's only 24 (shhh, he's older than that). I like him even though he has big legs (not to mention short ones too). I like him even though he's an awful dancer. I still like him even though he's taken. :\
Bear with me people, you will seldom hear me like this. *wink wink*
More photos here from his Penshoppe ads.
This got me diggin' my creative skills. I've only known a few people who have this kind of passion, and I know I have it somewhere... sometimes. :)
Since almost everyone I know is into photography, I might as well dip my brush for some oil painting, for a change. I have to start from scratch though. It's been awhile since the last time I held a paintbrush, and my empty canvas has been sitting in my room for the quite some time now.

This was my first attempt on oil painting, spidey days.
I got used to being a second hand smoker since almost all of my college friends I hang out with smokes, but I doubt if I'll ever get used to dry cough. I've been having terrible sleeps (yes, I do sleep) for 3 consecutive nights now. I've been tossing and turning myself to bed 'cause my cough wont let me sleep in peace. And to make things worse, the medicine that I'm taking is boosting my appetite. Great.
It is not the presence or absence of people that makes the difference...
Because a person need not be lonely even if he is alone.
Sometimes it is good to be alone.
But that does not make us lonely.
It is not a matter of being present with someone.
It is a matter of being present to someone.

Thanks Alcy for sending me this one. Makes me miss Baguio. :\
One of my dreams is to shoot regularly for a travel magazine, be it local or international.
This newsletter (below) could be a good start, although its given for free to those who are travelling up north. I will be contributing some of my north photos for this newsletter for the meantime.

I've been playing with my wide lens since last week. So far I've screwed up 2 films now. One was the B&W film from Oktoberfest where almost everybody came out white washed or nyarp (not sharp) hehehe. :p And the other one was from a children's party last Saturday.
I tried to capture the kids up close and ended up distorting their faces! hahahaha! I hope their rents aren't reading this! :D
The truth is, I was trying to make a lomo effect with these shots. Vignetting on corners with close-up effect using my manual flash. My bad, I wasn't familiar with this flash and it came on too strong. :\
I want my holga!
There's one more film I'm waiting to be scanned from the Oktoberfest. I just hope *crossing my fingers* that it will come out right this time. If not, there's always another day for experiment.
Last night, I heard a Christmas song playing over the radio for the first time this year. Haaay, few more days and it's Christmas again. Few more days and it's going to be 2004. Few more days... :)
Which reminds me of my eighteen godchildren... and still counting! Uh-oh!
Speaking of kids, I had a chit-chat with my niece yesterday:
Me: You want a balloon?
Noelle: Yes.
Me: I'll get you one later, ok?
Noelle: But manong will make galit if I make putok the balloon.
At the age of 3, she can really make me sound so squatter with her taglish slang accent and her teeny little voice... Oh kids nowadays.

I had to visit my dentist the other day for my root canal follow-up check up. It was terrible. Well, the surprise anesthesia for my op 3 weeks ago was terrible enough. But last night's pain after the permanent filling was nerve wrecking!
HUMAN + PAIN = BAD SLEEP. Saya!
