I never thought outdoor adventure can be this fun until I met this group. Extremely down-to-the-EDGE, down right crazy people, good crazy.

Two weeks ago, I met up with these strangers (except for Mhay) at MegaMall to take a shuttle to Clark Airport. The rest of the bugs were there waiting for us. Most of them are from the South. Some are from Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro & Bohol. One was originally from Batanes, and us, from Manila. It amazes me how different they are to one another but speaks of one passion, outdoor adventure.
After 3 hours of AirAsia ride, we arrived at Kota Kinabalu airport just in time for dinner. We get to meet Alex and Octavious, the big bosses behind River Bug, who we, if not all, admire for being humble despite of their successes. After the dinner, we had our briefing for the trip, which got us all excited for the coming days.
Who wouldn't be excited if part of the itinerary is doing a city tour, whitewater rafting, river cruise, climbing Mt. Kinabalu, and meeting total strangers? Not to mention getting stranded in the middle of nowhere on an old train with a bunch of locals, koreans, japanese and other different nationality.

Oh and the spice girls (ahem) got to do a side trip to Brunei. That's right! Spice girls opted to do a Brunei trip rather than climbing Mt. Kinabalu. We know our capacity to climb and it's not for Mt. Kinabalu, just yet.
Spending seven days with these guys in Kota was a great experience and it doesn't stop there... we got plans y'all!
Thanks mare for tagging me along.
Now to the next hop we go...
