With this kind of serenity, who wouldn't get an island fever? Especially if you're used to all the hustle and bustle of the city. After getting back in Manila, I wouldn't mind going back to Palawan for a month, or maybe longer. A simple life as Lele would say... that's before riding the chopper. Hehe.

It comes in 3s.
Maldita (my ipod) got busted on my second day at the island. How timely. The thing is, I had this feeling she's going to give me the sad face soon. Too soon though, di man lang 7th day or 8th maybe. Tapos my dive computer (dive watch) died on me as well. Although I think it just needs a battery replacement. Good thing it happened after my attempt for a third dive. Attempt because I wasn't able to go deeper than planned, 27ft lang with nothing to see. I have a problem with equalization (left ear) and I had to abort my dive. I missed the solitary barracuda. Oh and during my second dive, my BCD was acting up. It was inflating on its own making me more buoyant, almost shooting up. My buddy Chris (a Swedish guy na puge, na buma-Brad Pitt - but nothing like what Jake saw in Cambodia, durn u!) had to pull my inflator hose to keep my BCD from inflating. Hello stressed diver! Hehe. It was a nice experience though, after 8 months of hiatus on scuba diving, it wasn't that bad. And the dive was really nice, all wreck diving.

First time/s 3.
Yachting. Sounds sosy noh? 'Di ren. Spending the whole day on a yacht gets boring after awhile. ;) Now imagine 4 days... Spell nognog. Hehe.
Chopper ride. I was forced appointed to shoot aerial photos of some islands in San Vicente while in a helicopter. Knowing myself and how shitty I am with heights, I turned pale as soon as the chopper swerves from one point to another. Ayus! Experience!
Cockpit-ing. Airbus cockpit that is. Turns out, the pilot of Cebu Pacific on our way back to Manila is a good friend of Icy. As soon as the seatbelt sign was off, we got invited to hang at the cockpit. Sabi nga ni Capt. Mon, sobrang hi-tech na ng planes, para na lang silang nag ni-nintendo. :)

Happy sightings.

A shooting star.
A rainbow before sunset.
Blue skies.
And occasional rain shower.

Long Beach in San Vicente, Palawan is going to be the next Boracay.
Times ten better and times five bigger than Boracay. Hmm... It's not comparable to Boracay actually. :)
Pictures from the trip here.

Sometimes, things breaking down is Someone's way of preventing something serious from happening. Maybe you were spared from having a serious diving accident.
