Go dive!

I've been hearing alot of warnings and scary stories about how dangerous diving is, almost making me want to back out. But that didn't stop me. Accident is an accident.

Jong & I had our first diving lesson yesterday. It was pretty... uhmm... basic. The freakin' pool was cold! My legs were shakin through out the whole 2 hours of pool session. Good thing I decided to buy a rash guard a day before or else I could have frozen to death (pun intended).

Anyway, 100 meters of swimming (required) is not a joke esp. if you just ate lechon for lunch! Dang! I felt whoozy afterwards.

And playing badminton in the evening is not good either... No, I'm not trying to kill myself. Not yet. :p

Anyway, I'm looking forward to our check out dive prolly two weeks from now.

*kaching kaching* my wallet hurts!

Oh and we're trying to convince my sister-in-law to join us too. Mwehehehe. :D

~~~~
Chant while diving:
"Swim swim swim... dont die! dont die!...
oh nice fish!.. don't die! dont die!..."
:D
Whooohoooooo!!!! Dive na!!!
So, I'm guessing your instructor is NAUI certified... as for the danger, diving isn't any more dangerous than other extreme sports,
Basta, dive S.A.F.E. :)
NAUI ka ba? PADI sya e.
Tapos na pool sessions namin... check out dive na next. :D
Accident is an accident.---> That's the spirit! I'm going surfing (or at least try to go surfing) next month. People who know me are amused because I'm the most "lampa" person on earth, so I shudder at just how I'll be able to keep my balance on the board. Bahala na :)
jillsabs, same here! I'm the ultimate lampa!
Uy surfing! Gusto ko din i-try yan. Dapat this month kaso my friends' and my sched wont meet... baka next month na... I dunno din kung magsu-surf ako o magpi-picture na lang ng mga surfers...hee hee hee
we're going on the 1st or 2nd wknd of August (para UPCAT weekend, walang pasok!) to La Union.
mejo natatakot na nga ako kasi my friend told me to wear a bandeau or tube over my suit para walang "accident" na mangyari; then be prepared daw for the cuts and bruises; and that vinegar is an effective anti-jellyfish sting remover.
i'm like: Suizy, hindi ka rin naman nananakot no? are you trying to dissuade me or something?
tapos i'm not a strong swimmer pa... it has all the makings of a recipe for disaster, pero bahala na. laban lang!
PADI. The reason I guessed NAUI was because of the 100m swim. Most PADI instructors I know do not have that requirement for Open Water. They may have changed the curriculum since 1996... hehehe...
"and that vinegar is an effective anti-jellyfish sting remover."
Bilib it or nat, Pepsi or Coke is just as good, if not better, in relieving the pain of jellyfish sting...just pour over the affected areas (I'm talking from experience here). Better, kasi pwede mo pang inumin yung matitira na soft drink (to ease your throat dahil you'll throw up in pain)...e yung vinegar, hindi. :D
