Time Change

Ooops. It seems that my blog still posts like I'm in California time. Well, just think of it this way, California Time + 1 day and 3 hrs. So this post is dated April 29 @ 9:05pm, it is April 30 at 12:05pm here, just after noon.

So just to confuse everyone, I'll keep my blog on PST. Hehehe... :)

Manila! Manila!

I've been in Manila for a total of 6 hrs... and all I've done is sweat. Unpacking was a nightmare... the air conditioner in my room isn't up to snuff... or at least it sure didn't feel like it.

Plans... ummm... haircut, and get a SIM card for my phone so that I have a local cell, instead of relying on T-Mobile's International Roaming at $2.99/minute. Ouch. As a plus, I can also make international calls on that line for way cheaper than roaming prices! Nice.

Manila, here I come!

The next time I update this blog, I'll be back in the Philippines. It's been over a year since I last went back to Manila. I can't wait to go back and see my dad, my cousins and barkada.

Of course, I will also be doing a lot of scuba diving. Wheee!!!! I arrive early Friday morning. :) Can't wait.

Death and Taxes

"Nothing sure in life but death and taxes..." or something like that. Well, it's tax day, and I'm pretty much cutting it close. Of course, I'll be paying Uncle Sam his dues later today. Oh well.

Sometimes, I wish I was a professional photographer, just so that I can use my camera gear as a "business expense." Maybe this year, since I am currently without job. Hehehe...

EBE and the BABoys (updated)

The one and only Eddie Boy Escudero, fondly known as EBE to the rest of the photographer community in the Philippines. When EBE deigns to grace you with his presence, you go all out.

A group of Filipino photographers based in the San Francisco Bay Area got together last Saturday for an all-day trip south to Point Lobos. Shooting all day around Monterey, Carmel and Point Lobos, and ending the day with good food at Albert's home in Fremont, CA.

L-R:Owan, Bobby, Kyo, Enzo, Albert, Bong, EBE, Noel and me!

Notice the fact that I'm wearing a shirt and shorts? It was FREEZING earlier in the morning! With temperatures at around 50F, I was so sorry I left my jacket in my car at Albert's place.

How cold? Check out the coastal fog with EBE:

PhilMUG

For reasons unknown to me, the Philippine Macintosh User Group has undergone some radical changes. It has moved to a new location. Visit it at http://www.philmug.org.ph.

Anyone from the board care to explain?

Curious me.

Wedding!

Greystone Park in the heart of Beverly Hills, CA. What can I say? The place was gorgeous! Very photo friendly, the perfect place for a wedding.

And no, I wasn't the wedding photographer, I just had my camera with me. I will be adding more pictures later.
