Barkada...

Two of my college friends are in town. Well... 300+ miles south of my part of town, but who's counting? I haven't seen Marc and Joy since last year, so I made the trip down to LA to see them.

So far, the last 3 days have been jampacked with activities, from walking around Rodeo Drive with Cy and Joy, to hanging out with James Ramos and his wife Kay at their place in Lomita.

For today, Saturday, it's helping Pilar move, a quick stop at a barbeque with Marc, Joy, James and Kay Ramos, and James Okada and some new friends as well. Then it's off to Burbank to see Bobby and Joan for a few minutes, then time to spend some time with birthday girl Candy with her friend Norbert. Mayi, Loie and Redge complete the cast at La Luna Negra in Pasadena.

Of course, without reliable internect connectivity for my laptop, I'm stuck with dialup via my cellphone. I am now getting ready to go to bed at my older sister's place in Pasadena, and lo and behold... my Airport card picks up a WiFi signal.... nice. A generous neighbor, perhaps? Ahhh... the bliss of high-speed broadband connectivity again... mmmm...

Pictures coming real soon. Promise!

Need to take a leak?

thumb.fwd117b20040319jpg.jpg It seems that Virgin Atlantic Airways has made the headlines. But this time for the urinals at JFK Airport. The urinals are shaped like women's lips. Blood red too. Now, they have come across some opposition from some groups saying that the urinals are offensive.

Well, what can I say?

What line is that?

Taking a class with Don Cameron over the weekend, we walked around Alum Rock Park in the heart of San Jose. Here's a few of the images from that class.

Where's the troll?

TV Across the Pacific

Well, watching TV is just not the same. Chatting with Vic, Carlo and, Eliza this morning. Vic mentions American Idol, and I remember I had taped the episode that will be shown in Manila tomorrow.

Firing up my iSight camera, I show them one a time a quick preview of that show via iChat. Surprisingly, the video and audio came through pretty clearly, although it was a bit over exposed. Hehe, what fun.

Now what?

It seems that when I actually get the ball rolling, updating my blog, I just run out of steam. I need pictures for my class this weekend. Now, where to find them....

Golden Gate Park

I had nothing better to do, I needed a few shots for my upcoming class on the 20th, so I drove to San Francisco to hit Alamo Park to reshoot the Painted Ladies, and shoot some local color around Golden Gate Park.

Walking around, I heard the beat of some drums, followed the sounds and saw this bunch:

Here's more of that group:

Here's a guy I found playing around with some glass globes... I asked him if it was ok to take photos of him practicing, he said he enjoyed having his picture taken...
